permanent resize of /var/
Hi all!
I´ve been reading these two articles.
https://my.f5.com/manage/s/article/K34126971
https://my.f5.com/manage/s/article/K52061353
Are any of them a permanent fix for low diskspace of /var/ ? Or will we/I have to redo it after every upgrade?
/Kim
There doesn't seem to be a permanent solution that survives an upgrade. However from version 16.0.0.0 the /var partition is increased by 50%. Maybe that will work for you. On the other hand, what's eating your diskspace on /var?

There IS a permanent solution that survives upgrades if you're not willing to upgrade to v16. We successfully implemented it on v15.

It is effective from the first upgrade you do after implementing the config file.
Nice! Thanks for sharing.

Nice! But at this moment I think that ship has sailed for some environments, we have some 16 which will be upgraded to 17 in a near future.
But this is more or less what i was looking for.
This following article says you'll have to do it again after an update.
/var folder size decreases automatically after upgrade (f5.com)

So there´s no permanent solution that survives an upgrade?
