Purpose of Mac Masquerade ??
Guyz i still dont get it, what is the purpose of mac masquerade ???
is it used to minimize arp entries to the router is it used to prevent arp cache errors is it used to allow two redundant big ips to use the same mac address

The purpose of MAC masquerading is to ensure a fast and smooth service failover to a new active device. Having the IP addresses associated with the failover objects of a traffic group share the same MAC address removes the demand upon a robust outcome of timely arp table updates for the failover operation between BIG-IP devices, thus effectively avoiding otherwise potential issues related to the updates operations involving connecting routing equipment.

It is pretty much like VRRP sharing the MAC address.
