Having the IP addresses associated with the failover objects of a traffic group share the same MAC address removes the demand upon a robust outcome of timely arp table updates for the failover operation between BIG-IP devices, thus effectively avoiding otherwise potential issues related to the updates operations involving connecting routing equipment.
