LASTHOP static or dynamic?

Hello F5'ers.

 

does the LASTHOP (associated with a connection) within Connection Table, change during the lifetime of the connection, or is it static - set only during connection establishment?

    Hi Alex,

     

     

    My guess on this is that it's static. But you could try testing this to confirm.

    It's static.

     

     

    I've had a myriad of calls opened about this over the last X years (Since 9.0 came out). It was the bugbear of my live at one stage... AFAIAA it's never been... changed...

     

     

    The result that came back was (IIRC) always that this isn't a bug... It's a feature.

    Oh... That's for auto-lasthop BTW... You CAN use lasthop pools, but that introduces a whole nother world of interesting...
