Displaying selected member for VIP which is using nPath.
Dear F5 community, I have one interesting rpoblem for which I request your kind assistance. Problem description follows:
Currently, when I do this:
jahornik@(bigip03a)(cfg-sync In Sync)(Active)(/Common)(tmos) show sys connection cs-server-addr 165.72.13.47%1
I get this output:
165.72.103.13%1:55877 165.72.13.47%1:25 165.72.103.13%1:55877 165.72.13.47%1:25 tcp 68 (tmm: 1) none
Where as when same command issued for the VIP where nPATH is not used, the output looks like this:
165.72.194.9%1:19877 165.72.13.53%1:25 2.252.103.9%1:39882 2.252.103.38%1:25 tcp 45 (tmm: 0) none
Which is the desired output showing the whole chain: client - VIP - floating self IP - pool member.
Question is: Is there any way at all (I would presume there has to be as big-ip has to have such information available. Thus I would expect there would be a variable which can be used within an iRule) how to determine to which pool member a traffic was sent that came to VIP which is using nPath (i.e. not using any sort of NAT)?
Bigip model 4000 on 11.5.1 (build 8.0.175).
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely, JH.

- What_Lies_Bene1CirrostratusSorry but it's not clear what you are missing from the nPATH VIP output, can you clarify please?
- Jakub_Hornik_16NimbostratusI am missing an information as to which pool member of the pool assigned to VIP 165.72.13.47 was used.
