Hello guys, I'm new in the F5 world and for study purposes, I'm deploying a VE appliance in the VMware, after doing the deploy I can't ping and access by web browser the F5. I set the correct VLAN in the interface but I noticed that the mgmt interface doesn't appear in the VMware, first I have configured the IP with the "config" command and the IP is placed in the mgmt interface. I had set up the IP also on the eth0 interface but without success. The question is, do I need to allow the access through the eth0 interface?
You have to allow tcp ports 22 and 443 in order to have access to the CLI and web GUI.

mschott_355664Hi Dylan, yes, the 22 and 443 port are allowed. Another thing is that the LTM can't ping his gateway. Seems with a VLAN problem, but I checked and not found nothing wrong.

Yeah it could be a VLAN problem, but I would start with checking your interfaces on VMware. You may have to configure your interfaces in VMware if you haven't. Also, read through that article as there is a plethora of helpful information in it.
