You have to allow tcp ports 22 and 443 in order to have access to the CLI and web GUI.

CirrocumulusYeah it could be a VLAN problem, but I would start with checking your interfaces on VMware. You may have to configure your interfaces in VMware if you haven't. Also, read through that article as there is a plethora of helpful information in it.
