BIG IP modify a single interface to a trunk with vlan in different RD
Hi
I have an operantion that consist to combine 2 physical 10G interfaces of my BIG IP to a trunk for optimisation.
I have one unused interface that i can use if need for this operation.
However, the vlans configured on my two interfaces, belong to 2 differents Route-Domains.
Then i would like to know if it is possible to create a trunk with 2 interfaces that belong to 2 differents RD?
Thanks in advance for your quick response
Marieme I don't see any reason why you could not do this. Please keep in mind that this will involve creating that LAG, associating VLANs to it, and then associating interfaces to it. You will most likely experience a connectivity blip to all VLANs associated to the existing interfaces while you make the switch to a LAG. If your F5s are configured in an HA pair you will also need to create an HA group and place the trunk in it with the values you wish for a failover action and then place that HA group in the traffic-group. If you do not do this failover will not occur when that LAG goes down. The following document goes over this configuration.
