Active\Passive 4KS pair using OSPF and ECMP
So I have a pair of 4K's running in Active\Passive mode and these are operating as "in-line" load balancer's where each of the servers that will be load-balanced by these guy's has their default gateway live on said 4K's... On the "north" side of these F5's I run 2 by /30's and run OSPF on each of these links... So as a whole the pair of 4K's has 4 north links all running separate /30's with 4 separate OSPF adjacencies... The issue I'm having is that traffic destined to a host living behind the 4K's (I have ip forwarders setup to allow remote traffic to talk to specific servers as well as to vip's etc...) may be ECMP routed to the active F5 4K, or it might be routed to the passive one. If it goes to the active one, then the traffic flow's through the 4K on it's way to the host with no issues... Return traffic works great to. But if ECMP happens to send the traffic destined to the host to the passive 4K, then the traffic get's black-holed...
Config's are fully sync'd and we are running AFM.
Any idea's?
Thanks in advance!!!
