What's the Devices status in GSLB servers of Generic Host product is?
I Created a GSLB server in DNS, with Generic Host selectd in Product options. Then I navigated to the Devices tab of this server information, and I found the status kept on unknown always.
My question is, what's the Devices status is, and what's the device mean in this satuation?

have you assigned proper health monitor to the server entry?
and what is the system that you added?
is it linux/windows based dns server?- DenverFUNimbostratus

Device in GSLB server should be load balancer/proxy node.
And icmp/ping is usually blocked by firewalls by default so you need to ensure that F5's self ip, which is source of f5 health monitor traffic, can ping to the gslb device.- DenverFUNimbostratus
I can ping to the gslb device from the source of f5 health monitor successfully.

ping from command line uses management ip address instead of floating/self ip address.
f5 health monitor comes from floating/self ip address.
