CirrocumulusGraham, do you mean Primary? If so then I don't believe you can specify this. When you reboot there's a quorum process where a blade is selected as primary in a random way. You would need to pull out blade 2 to ensure blade 1 became primary (assuming only 2 blades).
In your situation traffic should still flow if blade 2 became primary as it'll use the backplane. Although you wouldn't be able to manage the viprion via the primary blade GUI. I think that's the behaviour.
