Turning on ASM causes significant performance impact on LTM VE

We have a per-prod environment using an LTM VE running V11.4.0 4x CPU's and 16GB Ram.

 

When we enable the current ASM Policy we see a significant decline in performance. Someone suggested that the Data Leak Protection may be the cause of this.

 

Has anyone had performance issues with this turned on?
