Timeout in SystemConfigSyncBindingStub upload_file

Hi,

 

Could anyone let me know if there is any default timeout set in the function SystemConfigSyncBindingStub.upload_file ?

 

I found that my call to SystemConfigSyncBindingStub.upload_file just ended with an "java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out" exception if the icontrol service on my F5 didn't respond in 60 secs.

 

Could anyone help to shed some lights on this?

    On this issue, Joe said that default timeout of iControl Java Library is 60 sec, and you can change it.

    How much data are you sending on the upload_file call? We recommend breaking the file up into smaller chunks and not sending a very large file at one time. The upload_file() method is designed to allow for this.
