Moving everything from LMT1 to LMT2... except IPs -must change those to new ones

Hello,

we just installed new LTM at our new DataCenter ( which is a replica from our existing DataCenter), will balance the load between those LTMs using GTM.

everything should be the same in LTM2 except the actual IPs themselves. but the names of the VS, Pool, certs...ect is the same.

what is the best way to make LMT-2 a replica of LTM-1, the only difference is the actual IPs? I can't imagine doing that manually, we have hundreds of VS, Pool...ect. and the Certs is a big deal, bc they have passwords on them which I don't have handy, so export and import one by one is not an easy option.

thank you for you help in advance. Jazz

  • make an UCS archive including private keys, extract the UCS (just a tar.gz), edit the bigip.conf to change the virtual server and virtual addresses (and possible self IPs), create the UCS again, then restore it without the license and your good to go.
