Improving SugarCRM client side performance.

I've been doing a lot of tuning to our SugarCRM server, and I wanted to know if it's possible to modify and configure the client and server compression profiles to match three criteria we are looking for - Compress most content being sent to the browser - Tell the browser to keep things in cache as long as possible for content we don’t expect to change often ( namely Javascript, CSS, and image files ) - Not to waste it’s time checking things that don’t matter ( like checking for .htaccess files on Apache ) - caching profile for the content caching directive.

Would also like to figure out how to remove the .htaccess components and rather than putting in Apache, put on the F5. Don't know if that is iRule or some other profile.
