F5 Troubleshooting commands to check traffic from External Public IP to F5-Virtual IP to Internal Server Pool member
Hello All,
I need to troubleshoot something at F5. We have published some application from F5 which is currently not giving expected output. If we bypass F5, it works perfectly fine.
Current Traffic Flow:-
Public IP -->> Virtual IP from F5 -- >> Physical Server
Now I need to check traffic flow for all these 3 IPs. Is there any such command exist in F5 which can get me all these components in F5 logs ?
Another question is that :-
Can two application run at same server at same logical port ?
Appreciate your efforts in advance.
Regards Viv

Try check the LTM log file for the traffic. If you need to get the traffic thoroughly, you can run tcpdump. Applications runs based on ports, you cannot run two applications run on same port that is hosted in same server. If they are hosted in different servers, you can make two different pools, as you know.

The answer would depend on the specific service. When you say applications, if your applications published are for instance websites differentiated by hostname and your server is setup to host multiple sites, then there is no problem hosting multiple applications through the same VS on the F5 and back to the same server.
