NimbostratusF5 Big-IP LTM on ESXi - Internal Only
Hi, I have 2 IIS 2008 R2 servers that I need to set up for http load balancing. The servers are virtual and run on 2 x ESXi 5.1 hosts in a cluster. I need to configure the Virtual Server IP on the same subnet as the IIS servers as these will be accessed internall y only. I have set up Virtual Server / Pool / and single node but when I look at the network map, the node shows as unknown. Currently have webserver and internal LTM interface on same host on the same virtual switch. Any basic setup for this much appreciated.

Dan_L1First thing to check, make sure you can ping, or at least telnet to the IIS server ports (443,80) from your F5 device to make sure you have a route setup on that same network.
Secondly, make sure you have a healthcheck associated to the Pool, without a healthcheck enabled you will get the "Unknown" status.. just giving a place to start.
