Big IP Edge Client Issue

Recently when connecting using BIG-IP Edge Client, users are now getting a popup window that seems to be coming from "https://www.f5.com/apps/all/avail.txt"; and the window is blank and has the text "avail" in it. If the window is closed the connection is terminated, if the window is left minimized the client stays connected. Running APM version 11.5.3, no recent changes have been done. Attached image of the popup window. Any suggestions what could be causing this all of a sudden?

  • Hi,

    Take a look at

    https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K17083

It seems the Edge Client incorrectly thinks there is a captive portal. It should have been fixed in your version, but it looks like it is not.

Can you confirm the symptoms by checking the Edge Client report log files and see if this article can help you?

As a work around you can disable captive portal detection in the Edge Client.

    Regards, Martijn

Thanks, adding the regedit worked. Strange this has just started coming up when nothing has been changed for quite some time.
