Big-IP Edge client for Mac asking for login each time

Hi i have downloaded the edge client on my macbook pro and the vpn works when i enter my login credentials, but when i shut the mac down and restart, the edge client will automatically open but its waiting for me to confirm login. I thought the point of the always on vpn was that i didnt have to login each time that it cached my credentials and connected as soon as wifi was available? Any help or advice woud be apprecciated.
