automatic disable a pool with only 1 priority group ?

hello,

it's possible to disable a pool when you have less x nodes up with only 1 priority group ?

The configuration of my situation is :

1 GTM ( global availability ) , and 2 LTM ( LTM-1 , LTM-2 )

Each pool have 10 nodes , when i lost ( for example ) 6 nodes on LTM-1 , the pool become OFF , and the GTM send trafic on the LTM-2.

it's possible , or they are other method ?

thaks. Fred Masson

  • i don't see a native way to do it.

    altnernative methods could be :

    1) use icall on each LTM to check for pool members number and do something, like disable the VS?

    2) use on each LTM a specific VS with an irule, this irule check for available members to reply something, and add a specific monitor to GTM to look for this VS on each LTM

  • tks for your answers ,

i had choose a "External Monitor"on pool to check the numbers of nodes available . I have just a error when execute the "tmsh" command in external environnement.

"the REMOTEUSER environment variable is not set : framework/UserCredentials.cpp, line 83"

  • in v10.2.4 , some scripts need :

    export REMOTEUSER="root" export HOME=/root

    at top of script.

    -END-
