Aug 13, 2012access lost when click force standby
Hi All,
I am new to F5 technology.. so I am not aware if its a common behaviour of F5.
1. I have configured my Load Balancers to work in Active/standby state. but both the devices are always in active state.
Now, When I click force standby on secondary unit of LB, I lose access to device for few seconds. but when it comes up, Its again active.
Please tell me how should I cpme out of this situation.

is unicast address for network failover setting correct?
Specifying unicast addresses for failover
When specifying unicast, rather than multicast, addresses for failover, you need to specify two pairs of IP addresses, where one of the pairs indicates the management IP addresses of the two units. The other pair indicates two self IP addresses, one for VLAN HA on each unit.

yes..
actually, we are not using management interface on LTMs. We are accessing these throughinternal VLAN self IP addresses.
So In HA, I have specified these addresses and HA VLAN self IP addresses. I have confirmed that they are correctly configured. - munish_64882
