upgrading from 9.0.3 to 9.0.5

Hi guys

I know this isn;t the right forum but its the closest I could find.

We're upgrading our 2 2400 BIGIP boxes from 9.0.3 to 9.0.5 and now the two BigIP's will not synch with each other!

When I try a synch I get the following error

SOAPException: 'Error calling getaddrinfo for 1@10.10.249.253 (Name or service not known)'

Saving active configuration...

Creating UCS for config sync all request...

Transport and install failed

BIGpipe: 01110001:3: Error running configsync

Has anyone ever seen this problem? This was working perfectly under 9.0.3

I'm not sure why the address is "1@10.10.249.253". What's the "1@" for?

Can you check these DB keys on both systems to see what they show?

    b db statemirror.peeripaddr

If the DB key on each system shows the "1@" before the IP address, it's likely these keys are possibly somehow corrupted during the upgrade.

If so, can you also reconfigure the redundant settings in the GUI to see if you can configsync again?

Please let us know what you find.

    Regards,

After some research, I believe your "admin"'s password must have ended in "@1", which messed things up when our code was trying to parse the URL.

My question is: Did you just recently change your password to have those characters, which makes this problem visible? Or has your password been unchanged, and somehow the problem hasn't manifested itself? I tend to think along the line of the former.

We'll address this problem in the next release. In the meantime, you can work around this problem by changing your admin password to not include the "@" character.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.
