When publishing an article, have the platform automatically discover relevant content and include links at the bottom of the article, something like an H2 header that says “Related Content” with some bullet pointed hyperlinks
This improves SEO as web crawlers can more easily discover new content, and drives view counts.

Hi DevCentral Team,
it sometimes happens that questions are pushed out of the first screen of the DevCentral forum while being still actively used.
The DevCentral forum sorts the posts purely based on the date of the original question and not based on lastest comments. This makes it basically impossible to spot new comments made to rather old questions...
The setting "My settings : Preferences : General : Sort topics by" seems to be broken. Even if the mode is set to "Time of most recent post" it will still prefer postings via "Original posting date".
The "Sorted by:" drop down menu on the forums start page does also not include a filter to sort by "Latest changes/comments".
It would be cool if you implement a functionality to display the most recent changes in the forum independently if the change was a new post or a new comment to an existing post.
Cheers, Kai

Hellooooooooo fair traveller!
I speak to you from the dark days before the world was enlightened, when men were men and women were legendary... When people posted a message and everyone gasped in wonder and amazement at this new electronic medium but no one could see or experience those reactions because there was no means to do so! A whole subculture of though and shared communities was denied us but no more! Spin forward to 2020 and the world has moved on, communities can post a thought and get peoples reactions, emotions, amazement, you get the gist. The most common representation of these feeeeelings.... was an emoticon. A simple yet positve way for people to express their feeling about something. A way to share the love, the laughter, the sadness and humanity of your community.
Yet here we are in 2022 with the most advanced increditble and amazing community software in the world today yet we are denied this simple avenue for human emotion ... in a community no less! I cannot fathom how such decisions are made so point me sir! to the most terrible and dangerous dragon that created such fear in the hearts of man and woman! I will leap onto my glorious steed, pull out my longsword and charge with a yell to slay thee for you all!
Then with mead in hand, sit and drink with my friends from devcentral telling tales of time where emotion was not allowed, people were not permitted to express their appreciation and we can all laugh at a time so long in the past.... it became just another legend!

Hi community,
Sometimes I get emails like summary digests or newsletters that sends content directly to my inbox. I was wondering if this is something we should consider implementing for DevCentral too.
Would you be interested in getting articles/videos/forum posts emailed to you?
If so, do you have an idea of how often you'd like an email like this?
If not, why not?
Here's an example from my inbox:

When we login to F5, 'Help' tab shows details about the available option. Give API or CLI command to search the same in CLI. Ex: Once i open Virtual servers in Local Traffic - Virtual servers -- Help or About section should have CLI command to check the same in CLI. Like ''# list ltm virtual VirstialServer1 '' --> So we get expertise on CLI and create plan to configure in CLI.

When i get a link that a thread has been updated it would be nice that the new posts in that thread have a soft background color to differentiate them from all the existing posts. This is only visible to me and once I have viewed it the first time it would not appear again as I have displayed the thread already.

We have roughly a dozen or more F5 appliances and numberous tenants. We were hoping to utilize BigIQ to manage everything from a single pane of glass, but have run into a feature option where we aren't able to add nodes via FQDN. Could you please add that as an option in the next update?

Hi DevCentral Team,
how about adding a "Copy to Clipboard" button to every code snippets posted on DevCentral. Its fancy to have such a button and would make it much easier to handle rather long code snippets...
"One Click" vs. "Selecting text while scrolling to the buttom and then hopefully stopping at the right moment... duh... rinse repeat..."

Hi DevCentral Team,
the usable width of DevCentral content is sometimes very limited. Especially if you enable "Threaded format" (default mode) and post an iRule snipped far deep into a conversation, the <PRE> formated content will become hard to read. Thanks to annoying word-wraps...
TBH... i dont know a single developer which is turning on "word wrap" just to read the code better on very small monitors. Word wrap makes it basically just worse, but miliage may vary for 0,0001% of the human being... 😉
I would like to propose a CSS change to make it easier to read code snippets here on DevCentral.
pre code {
white-space: pre ;
overflow-x: scroll ;
}
Cheers, Kai

Relatively minor thing, but it would be nice if the option in the post hyperlink editor had the "Open in new page" option as the default selection. Or, if instead of a global change, maybe this could be a per-user preference?

I asked a question on another vendor's forum, got a reply and had some back and forth for clarification. That was enough for me, but some days later I got an auto generated email asking if the question was answered and if yes if I could flag it as such. Totally forgot to do so at the end, but of course did so at that moment.
Which seems like a useful function, and I would like to see here to raise the number of answered questions.

From @john-nelson's post, copied here for better visibility:
"When using the BIG-IP Edge client, it frequently (most every day) shows the error "ERR clog1049 - Your MFA login page has timed out. Please disconnect and then try again". Someone told me that this error message is coming from some security module, that this is not in the BIG-IP client, itself. If the BIG-IP client has a way to recognize this type of error (i.e. any error that basically says "you need to disconnect and retry"), that would make it a bit easier to implement.
I would like to request a feature to handle this scenario. I'm not sure of the exact way to implement it. But here is one idea. When the user is actively logging in, and the BIG-IP client encounters any error, it would apply a list of "rules" (maybe it looks at errors and matches each 'rule' using a Regular Expression in the rule). Those rules could be entered by the user, or by the VPN admin team.
So a "rule" could be entered that says, when the user is actively logging in, and the BIG-IP client sees this specific error message, then the "rule" tells the client to disconnect, wait N seconds (e.g. 3 seconds), then retry the login. Naturally, this could support other actions, as well.
Thank you."

The user should be able to rollback to a previous version of the article when needed. I noticed that my articles have revision numbers. However I'm unable to see each revision, the changes, nor can I rollback to a revision.
I had an issue where I pasted funky code snippet with HTML (or some reason) and it broke my entire article forcing me to recreate a brand new article. Old article is still in draft in the system ready to be troubleshooted. During this time, if I could have only rolled back to previous version article then I would be set.
Please have ability to roll back to a previous edited version.
Thx,

Hi, When I searched the form, I saw that many users, not just me, want to see what changes when they see "Changes Pending", easily via the GUI. Why doesnt F5 Developer add one more feature on F5 to see or compare "new and old config". Like, paloalto or others. Pls, Dont ignore this suggestion. Thnx.
