Hi DevCentral Team,
The mandatory "review" step is slighly annoying and somehow kills the dynamic of Codeshares. Why do I have to wait a few days till the CodeShare is published and why do I have to wait another few days to correct a simple typo?
Example:
iRule based RADIUS Health Monitor Builder - DevCentral (f5.com)
The Github link at the buttom of the Codeshare got somehow broken during initial publishing. I immediately corrected the link, but now having to wait another couple days till its review is done?
Why even review a CodeShare if such broken links are not detected before approving it?
Cheers, Kai

When we login to F5, 'Help' tab shows details about the available option. Give API or CLI command to search the same in CLI. Ex: Once i open Virtual servers in Local Traffic - Virtual servers -- Help or About section should have CLI command to check the same in CLI. Like ''# list ltm virtual VirstialServer1 '' --> So we get expertise on CLI and create plan to configure in CLI.

Relatively minor thing, but it would be nice if the option in the post hyperlink editor had the "Open in new page" option as the default selection. Or, if instead of a global change, maybe this could be a per-user preference?

I didn't find an article or option to merge f5 community accounts. For example if a person has a company email account and a private one.

Want to report a bug.
Running on a MacBook 16" 2021, latest version of Safari I am unable to edit my replies/comments on Devcentral. No error message, failed XHR or js exception.
Chrome works fine though.
Kind regards, Patrik
Ps. Yes, I use Safari. Think like this, could've been IE6. 🙂

I asked a question on another vendor's forum, got a reply and had some back and forth for clarification. That was enough for me, but some days later I got an auto generated email asking if the question was answered and if yes if I could flag it as such. Totally forgot to do so at the end, but of course did so at that moment.
Which seems like a useful function, and I would like to see here to raise the number of answered questions.

Hi community,
Sometimes I get emails like summary digests or newsletters that sends content directly to my inbox. I was wondering if this is something we should consider implementing for DevCentral too.
Would you be interested in getting articles/videos/forum posts emailed to you?
If so, do you have an idea of how often you'd like an email like this?
If not, why not?
Here's an example from my inbox:

Please can the ASM request log filtering options be updated to allow for inclusion and exclusion of multiple Source IP addresses, e.g. individual IPs separated by comma, IP ranges (start - finish) or whole subnets (start/mask). Currently ASM logs can only be filtered on single source IP address and we would like to be able to exclude multiple addresses in the same range to better see traffic coming from other sources. Currently on version 15.1.6

Do we have plan to merge NGINX community with F5 community together? Maybe we don't want to merge NGINX OSS part. I think at least we can do NGINX Plus part if possible

From @john-nelson's post, copied here for better visibility:
"When using the BIG-IP Edge client, it frequently (most every day) shows the error "ERR clog1049 - Your MFA login page has timed out. Please disconnect and then try again". Someone told me that this error message is coming from some security module, that this is not in the BIG-IP client, itself. If the BIG-IP client has a way to recognize this type of error (i.e. any error that basically says "you need to disconnect and retry"), that would make it a bit easier to implement.
I would like to request a feature to handle this scenario. I'm not sure of the exact way to implement it. But here is one idea. When the user is actively logging in, and the BIG-IP client encounters any error, it would apply a list of "rules" (maybe it looks at errors and matches each 'rule' using a Regular Expression in the rule). Those rules could be entered by the user, or by the VPN admin team.
So a "rule" could be entered that says, when the user is actively logging in, and the BIG-IP client sees this specific error message, then the "rule" tells the client to disconnect, wait N seconds (e.g. 3 seconds), then retry the login. Naturally, this could support other actions, as well.
Thank you."

Hellooooooooo fair traveller!
I speak to you from the dark days before the world was enlightened, when men were men and women were legendary... When people posted a message and everyone gasped in wonder and amazement at this new electronic medium but no one could see or experience those reactions because there was no means to do so! A whole subculture of though and shared communities was denied us but no more! Spin forward to 2020 and the world has moved on, communities can post a thought and get peoples reactions, emotions, amazement, you get the gist. The most common representation of these feeeeelings.... was an emoticon. A simple yet positve way for people to express their feeling about something. A way to share the love, the laughter, the sadness and humanity of your community.
Yet here we are in 2022 with the most advanced increditble and amazing community software in the world today yet we are denied this simple avenue for human emotion ... in a community no less! I cannot fathom how such decisions are made so point me sir! to the most terrible and dangerous dragon that created such fear in the hearts of man and woman! I will leap onto my glorious steed, pull out my longsword and charge with a yell to slay thee for you all!
Then with mead in hand, sit and drink with my friends from devcentral telling tales of time where emotion was not allowed, people were not permitted to express their appreciation and we can all laugh at a time so long in the past.... it became just another legend!

Hi team,
yesterday I was accessing this forum question: https://community.f5.com/t5/technical-forum/irule-to-add-trailing-slash-except-for-extensions/m-p/250142#M233836
The iRule formatting is broken. I have seen this in a couple of other forum posts too. I managed to figure it out, since the iRule is rather short. But for longer iRules it is cumbersome. Is there a way to access them on the old platform with the correct formatting? If this old platform still exists at all...

One thing that I liked with the old site was that when I released a new version of BigIPReport the article ended up at the top. As it is now I feel it's harder for people to find the project and releasing a new version kind of gets forgotten amongst the old articles.
If you want a thriving Code Share I'd propose that updating an article sends it to the top of the list. It'd also make sense to me to separate code contributions to Crowd sources technical articles as they are two fundamentally different beasts. If I want to find new cool/helpful tools it would not make sense to sift through BigIQ How-to's to find what I am looking for.

The user should be able to rollback to a previous version of the article when needed. I noticed that my articles have revision numbers. However I'm unable to see each revision, the changes, nor can I rollback to a revision.
I had an issue where I pasted funky code snippet with HTML (or some reason) and it broke my entire article forcing me to recreate a brand new article. Old article is still in draft in the system ready to be troubleshooted. During this time, if I could have only rolled back to previous version article then I would be set.
Please have ability to roll back to a previous edited version.
Thx,

Hi DevCentral Team, I think it's good if u guys can bring back a series article list as before. I understand that we can search the keyword "Series" but it's not organized well as a list and parts of an article as before. From the user perspective (like me) I can not remember exactly the keyword such as http-series, ssl-series ... So I think it's good if we can group them into series so that users can easily use them as before. Appreciate!

Trivial thing, but hopefully also trivial to fix. The notification feed here: Notification feed - DevCentral (f5.com) Appears to list items, and sort them, based on - at a guess - the local time zone of the person who made the update? All I can really tell is that mine is not in chronological order...

I generated CSRs using the web gui to send to our CA, to replace new device certs. The new certs came back without the client-auth Extended Key Usage attribute set. The documentation is quite clear that it must be, so it's my fault for not communicating that to the CA. But if the CSR had included that EKU in the Requested Extensions, then I wouldn't have had to remember (at least, if my CA honored the request...)

tmsh modify sys db provision.extramb value 2000
bigstart restart restjavad" some important services will be restart so, "traffic would be interrupted or failover".
Thnx.

Hi, When I searched the form, I saw that many users, not just me, want to see what changes when they see "Changes Pending", easily via the GUI. Why doesnt F5 Developer add one more feature on F5 to see or compare "new and old config". Like, paloalto or others. Pls, Dont ignore this suggestion. Thnx.
