Whats the easiest way to send enable and disable commands for hosts to our f5?

We are on version 11.6

here's the thing: my noc does releases/deploys pretty regularly. that part is scripted, but one "manual" thing they do is log into our f5's and disable/enable hosts as part of the release prep. i'd certainly like to automate that part.

I did some reading on iCR, would that be the place to find such a function? and where, specifically.

I can imagine running a powershell or python script that simply: - calls the f5 remotely - sends disable host / enable host commands

i realize I could also use a healthcheck mechanism to enable/disable hosts by having their checks fail (say, delete a file that the f5 checks, and it fails the host out for that reason, which avoids direct interaction with the f5), but i want to explore more commands against the f if i wanted to automate config downstream.

right now, i just want to script the enabling/disabling of hosts...
