vCMP Scalability using ScaleN Clustering
Hi, I want to know if its possible to SCALE OUT(horizontal) in terms of getting more vCPUs for a Guest ? E.g. I have a 2 x 7250v in a cluster(A/S) running 2vCMP instances each having 4 vCPU. I cannot create more vCMP instances because max vCPU is 8 on this platform. Can I add one more 7250v in this cluster and add more vCPU to scale further ? So is it possible for vCMP to scale horizontally using ScaleN Clustering ?

Hi Akhtars, a vCMP guest cannot be deployed across multiple hosts.
So the capacity is limited to number of cores and storage of a single host.
You may consider to deploy your service across multiple virtual servers distributed to multiple traffic-groups all handled in a single sync-failover device-group.
The device-group will include vCMP guests on different hosts.
I hope this answered your question.
Thanks, Stephan
