Unable to downgrade OS from v10.0.0 to v9.4.7

On downgrading the OS version on my BIGIP 3600 from 10.0.0 to 9.4.7, the device gets stuck at the boot menu with this message:   root (hd1,0) ...

Looks like a clean install as has been suggested.

 

Question: Why are you going to such an old version of software ?

    Thanks - I tried the clean install and it worked. I need to test a customer setup and need to roll back to an older version for that.
