Trunk name change

I would like to change the name of the trunk( not description) in f5 ltm version 11.5.x.   No option is available to do so. How can I do this in production ?

You can't do this directly. During a maintenance window, you'll need to:

 

  1. Remove the existing trunk from all VLANs using it.
  2. Delete the trunk.
  3. Create the new trunk.
  4. Assign it to the relevant VLANs.
  5. Fail over to this unit and make sure nothing is broken.
  6. If OK, do the same thing on the partner system.

Seriously though, what's the business need to rename the trunk? It'll work the same way whatever it's called.
