throtlling parameter & disptach time

Hi All,

 

 

We are using Big IP in fron of our application. Our app is configured with 40 threads. If more requests arrive at our app level, then they are put in a queue.

 

 

I have foll. questions:

 

 

1. Is there a way to limit the of msgs that LB will fire off at app (App is in JBoss)?

 

2. What is the typical dispatch time per request at LB level. In other words, once LB receives a request, how long does it take to dispatch the request to appropriate server (we have 5 JBOSS servers). There are no scripts instituted at LB level

 

3. Does it have maximum of threads ? or such concept doesn't exist at LB level?
