The disconnect status shows when I try to config sync. Says to sync devices to group and when I try nothing happens. I cannot access ssh via same IP i get to vCMP guest via browser. Its strange.

Check your port lock down settings on the self IP. The selfIP you are using for sync needs to have udp 1026 allowed at a minimum.
