standby /standby status cluster

I am using ver 11.2 LTM on my esx

I uploaded configuration ucs from my production devices

and I get standby /standby status on both device

reboot, reset trust, recreate device group , manually force online form gui, tmsh does not helping

synchronization works correctly the only problem is that i can not play with failover

    Hi Marcin,

Usually, when there's a communication issue between the units, both of them will try and go active (since they assume the other one is down). So this doesn't seem to be your case, but it's still worth to double check your failover settings (self IPs, connectivity, ports allowed, etc.)

Other possible options would be that - both units are computing the same"HA weighting"value, and are deadlocked trying to decide which one should be active. Force one of the units to OFFLINE, and the other should come active. You can then RELEASE FROM OFFLINE, and that unit will stay standby.

    • An HA event has fired, and neither device will go active because they both think they can't handle it (vlan_failsafe enabled?)

Other than that you can generate qkviews from both of them, get them up to ihealth.f5.com and see if the heuristics detect something.

If everything fails, call support :).

    Good luck!
