service with 2 members, each one of those is mapped to a diferent server (not in pool member)
Hi everyone,
I've got a service (a vipa) a pool with 2 members. Each member is health monitored tcp port 8080. Each member use a server (diferent for each member) tcp port 443.
I need the F5 considers each member up, if the server assigned to each member (tcp port 443) is running.
| --> member 1 (tcp 8080) ---> server 1 (tcp 443)
vipa --> |
| -->member 2(tcp 8080)---> server 2 (tcp 443)
How can I make this possible ? server1 y 2 are not part of pool
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards
Thank you very much!! I'll use the monitor on 8080 port, and will add 443 port, with an 'AND' for the avalaibility for each pool.

Hi Hector,
Use the Alias in the monitor to monitor another system.
Just make sure the F5 can access that server on port 443. If you want you can then add several monitors to you pool. One monitoring the syytem on port 8080, and the other the remote system on port 443.
