Saml and F5 VIP

We are trying to use a vip to redirect 443 traffic to 8443. However there is a saml process that happens as well. I'm not super familiar with saml and how it interacts with the f5 vips so I'm looking for some guidance on how we can achieve this. My issue is that when you visit a certain page it passes saml data to an sspr(self service password reset) page and then returns data, the vip is not liking this very much.
