Resolving short hostnames in SWG

Hi, I have configured an SWG instance with a DNS resolver to forward all requests to a couple of internal DNS servers. I have also configured the system DNS resolvers to the same DNS servers with the list of search domains and I can see that is updating the resolv.conf configuration. However, when a browser tries to access a short name it does not do the resolution using the search domains. I'd like to configure the system so that I can send a short name through the browser and be resolved using the search domains. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!
