Redundant Config
I have a pair of being used as active/standby.
My problem is I have a self-IP per unit and we are only using the internal VLAN.
Also Mgmt IP is set per unit. (different network address)
I have the mgmt IP listed under the "Peer Mgmt IP" under Network Failover (and its enabled).
The switch port was disable but the unit never failed over to standby.
Set a floating IP between the units but active still will not failover when I disable the port 1.1
Please help!

what's interface 1.1?
- TechgeeegNimbostratusYou still did not mention about the fail-over console cable. Also for the network fail-over connect the ports directly through a small patch cord and reply what is happening to your setup.
- Minn_62043CirrostratusIf you manually fail over, will it be successful? You can use "b fo standby" command or do it from the admin ui.
- cxcal_18687NimbostratusPort 1.1 is the internal VLAN, and it the only port in use on this unit at the moment.
- hooleylistCirrostratusAs Moo suggested, can you fail over manually using 'b fo standby' or by forcing the active unit to standby in the GUI?
- cxcal_18687NimbostratusSince the units are remote, I found out the serial cable is plugged in.
- nitassEmployeeif u need to failover when 1.1 is down, i understand u've to configure vlan failsafe or ha group. it will work with serial failover too.
- TechgeeegNimbostratusAs the failover console cable is disconnected I believe it will work now..... cheers... do update us....
