Receiving error when connecting to Citrix Receiver for external use.
I am more of Citrix person, than F5, but we are trying to deploy Citrix Receiver to all domain based endpoints. We are using Xendesktop 7.6 and StoreFront 2.6.0.5031 with a single FQDN Certificate. Internally works fine using Receiver for Web and Citrix Receiver GUI - SSO. However externally won't work correctly with Citrix Receiver, but works fine with Receiver for the Web with Pass-through. We have an F5 and are using the latest iApp. We are using the icaclient ADM Template for all domain based machines and have setup Storefront Account to https://storefront.company.com/Citrix/Store/discovery;on;Description (example). We enabled pass-through authentication = Enabled, Allow pass-through authentication for all ICA connections = Enabled in the GPO.
The error we receive in Citrix Receiver when trying to refresh apps externally is "Your apps are not available at this time. Please try again in a few minutes or contact your help desk with this information. Cannot contact (store). It appears its not communicating back to the F5 at all. Citrix mentions its something not configured correctly on the F5 and they can't support it. I am curious if anyone else has run into the issue and how to fix? Let me know if you need more information.
Thanks!
- JM_134024NimbostratusAnyone help??? Thought I would get an answer quickly.
- it is quite difficult to troubleshoot a setup like this without access to the system and pretty limited details. you mention latest iapp, but from the SOL it seems things depend on the TMOS version you have, is the combination ok? http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/13000/700/sol13738.html have you determined if traffic actually flows through the system when it doesn't work? you mention you contacted citrix support, did you also contact f5 support?

Yes we are on the latest version and firmware. I have to check with my network engineer if anything is passing data when issue occurs. There is a case open for F5. Thought if anyone else had issues with Citrix Receiver similar to what I am encountering?

Were you able to resolve this issue? I have also the same issue with Citrix Receiver 4.3, the previous version work fine. I have opened a support case with F5 support, and they basically stated to me that 4.3 is not in the supported list. They have been communicating with me, but have not talked to them on the phone, any further than email.
- Son_of_Tom_1379NimbostratusHi Keith, Don't suppose you have anything further from F5? We have the same issue, I'm surprised there isn't more out there on this problem (or perhaps I'm not asking Google the right questions). We have tested against 11.6 HF5ENG which is still a no go. V12 is out now but we haven't gone there yet. Cheers

Hi,
We have 2 storefront configured in DMZ and load balancing via F5 . We have also configured F5 APM for external access .
From the Web browser everything works fine and we are able to launch application. But when i am trying from the receiver directly , i am getting an error after authentication saying that " Select and account to continue ". Please let us know if any have faced the same issue.
Storefront 3.0
XenDesktop 7.6
F5 latest template
Any suggestions to resolve /troubleshooting will be help full.

Did you get this resolved? Similar problem here that seems to be being caused by the Beacons configured in StoreFront being altered (by the F5 I assume) so that both internal and external beacons are being set to use the FQDN of the Gateway. Therefore the Citrix Receiver always thinks it is internal and so can't connect externally.
