Wanted to confirm. If Priority Group Activation is disabled. Does it make sense to even toggle priority for pool members to drain connections?
Say a Pool has 8 members and 4 are due for patching...

No, it will not matter. Much like ratios, the numbers in the priority field have no bearing unless you have priority activation enabled for the pool.

Mar 11, 2016Yes, disable will allow persistence to still be used. All "new" session will be directed to other pool members. Force Offline will still allow existing TCP connections to stay open until they time out or are closed.
