Priority Group Activation - Loadbalancing
Hi i am working on a design in which i have to apply Priority group of the servers.
i have a doubt in regards to the loadbalancing of requests amongst the servers.
the configuration is :-
two priority groups
Priority group 3 : total members 3 Priority group 2 : total members 3 min active members : 2
in case both the groups we are just left with 1 member. would the LTM stop passing connections to any of the members and mark the pool as down or would the incoming connections be still passed to the available servers.

Hi!
It will not stop passing to the other groups while activating new ones. You can look at it as if the LTM adds pool members when the condition of minimum active members is not met.
Hope that answers your question?

Hello, Priority group dosent mark a pool member as a down. Health check do this.
In your example, the traffic will be pass to the 2 members avaiable, one of each group, because you config with lass than 2.
If you configure with lass than 1, the traffic will to the avaiable member with high priority group.

Priority groupt activation never mark a member as a down. Health cheack do this.
You Have 2 groups. When a condition is not meet the LTM active the another group, but still using the avaiable member of the first group
