We have a VS that accepts SFTP connection from the internet and it routes to the internal sftp server. But we also need the internal ftp server to do an sftp connection that passes F5 and into the sf...

You could create a new VIP on the F5 listening for traffic from the internal SFTP server then (ideally) create and apply a SNAT pool with an external IP that would reach out to the internet SFTP server as a pool member.
