Need your help in this upgrade.

Hi,

 

i want to upgrade from 11.6.2 HF1 to 11.6.3.3. I have 2 physical appliances and each one has 2 VMs. so in total i have 6 upgrades to perform. my question here, Is there any order i should follow since iam upgrading virtual editions? or the same as the physical ones?

    Q: Which should I upgrade first, the guests or the hypervisor host?

     

    A: If the host is not at an I/O bug mitigated code level (e.g. 11.2.1 HF3+, 11.3.0 HF1+, 11.4.0 and newer) then you should upgrade the host first. Ensure that the host upgrade finishes, boots completely, and the guests start without issues. If the host is at or above those code levels, then you can upgrade either the guest or the host first.
