Monitor Testing question
How can we test a monitor on a node to confirm the send and receive strings are correct through command line?
We want to test it before assigning the monitor to a pool.
Two suggestions:
1) Use curl to simulate the request.
2) create a "dummy" pool with your member(s) and assign the monitor you wish to test with.

Hi Mike,
you could also add the new monitor to your existing pool and then set the availability requirement to "At least 1 Health Monitor". In this case the pool members will remain active even if the new monitor fails.
Note: Using a dummy pool as recommended by Ryan is still best practise.
Cheers, Kai
