Masking URL Via IRule

Hi There,

 

I need to know how to create an IRule that masks the real URL to one i would like users to see.

 

So http://server/domain.com:81/blah/blah - Real URL

 

http://myproject.domain.com - masked URL of the above that i want users to see

 

I currently have a IRule set up so if http://myproject.domain.com is typed it will redirect to the real URL which is working fine, i just want to be able to mask the real URL.

    That's called reverse proxy. On F5 you can create a pool with domain.com:81 as pool member and create "domain.com:80" a virtual server using that server pool. Depending on whether your backend/real server supports this, you might need a stream profile to rewrite all instances of "domain.com:81" to "domain.com"
