How can I avoid the following TCP reset? 01230140:3: RST sent from x.x.x.x:30133 to VIP:443, [0x147772a:2006] {peer} TCP RST from remote system

When do tcpdump and examine i see lot of TCP re-transmission.

I see the following error appear for win 2003/IIS6 - HTTP Pool. http_process_state_prepend - Invalid action EV_INGRESS_DATA during ST_HTTP_PREPEND_HEADERS (Server side: xxx)

Any help would be appreciated.

  • The "http_process_state_prepend - Invalid action" error usually manifests when the HTTP filter encounters something that doesn't make any sense. Something I've seen a few times is when the server reports an incorrect Content-Length value in its response. This theory can be somewhat verified by simply removing the HTTP profile from the VIP. If the error goes away then that's a good indication that the server is doing something illegal.
