LTM 1600 Upgrade
We are planning to install our BIGIP LTM 1600 from 9.4.8 to 10.2.4 HF5. Would it be as simple as backing up the current config and reinstalling the new version or more complex than that? Please guide

It is a little more complex than that. Read through the upgrade process in the release notes. The steps are well documented. You will be coonverting the way the disk partitioning works, which makes it impractical, but not impossible, to back out if necessary. Because of this, I recommend you line up F5 support in advance, and give yourself a decent change window. The upgrades can go well, but sometimes strange things happen.

Please go to the latest hotfix rather than HF5. Or at least read the release notes for the latest hotfix and convince yourself that it is not worth installing that hotfix.
Just search for "hotfix matrix" on https://ask.f5.com.
