In-Line Vs One-Arm Load balancing
Hi All,
Thank you for reading my post. I want to know the exact difference between inline load balancing and one-arm load balancing. What are the advantages and dis-advantages of choosing either of them.
Thank you, Amar

One-arm configuration is easy to deploy on the production network, but you have to use SNAT and therefore you won't be able see client's ip addresses on the server side.
If you use inline configuration you will be able see client's ip addresses, but it is more difficult to deploy on production network because you'll have to change the routing configuration.- AmarC_141952

Thank you for your reply.
So in Inline mode , The servers have default gateway as the Load balancer's IP. And in onearm mode , The packet is source nated , so eventually it has to go to the balancer. Is this correct ?
Yes, it is correct

Excellent. Do you know if there any relation of these configurations to the number of VIP's on Balancer. Like 1 can handle more VIP's than other.
Regards
No, it doesn't reflect any other configuration, as far as I know
