How to reset only the bigip.conf to factory default settings

Hi there

I have a LTM pair with an old configuration and these devices don't have a searial console connection.

I did a fresh install on this 10.x TMOS based boxes:

image2disk --format=volumes BIGIP-10.2.1.297.0.iso

After this installation process the configuration is copied from the previous installation to the new one. So far so good. The license is copied as well and all the box related configuration.

So now, I just want remove the bigip.conf configuration only (resetting it to factory default settings). I there a elegant way to do it? I mean does a single command exist for such thing.

best regards

bb

    Hi,

Thanks for your continuous support. For your information, I have created hardware fail-over between two unit and try to synchronize unit-2 from unit-1 but its failed to synchronize ,So after that

its showing message through web access "The configuration has not yet loaded. If this message persists, it may indicate a configuration problem."

I have applied the b import default and save all in unit-2 but its not taking save as its saying below message

    [root@localhost:Active] config b save all

    BIGpipe parsing error:

012e0028:3: There is no valid configuration to save.

Please check the logs for licensing, configuration, or other problems.

So need your help to solve the issue.

    Thanks and regards

Please can you tell me to resolve below error from command line and which file we have to edit as per below url: http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solu...12795.html

    BIGpipe parsing error:

012e0028:3: There is no valid configuration to save.

For your information , when I am rebooting the system ,its taking previous hostname and password after providing < b save all > and b load

    Thanks and regards

  • which file we have to edit as per below url: http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solu...12795.htmlit is /config/bigip.conf

    BIGpipe parsing error:

012e0028:3: There is no valid configuration to save.i think error message from b save is not really useful. b load would give more useful infromation about what wrong is. for example, Business-VLAN was not found. so, you may have to create Business-VLAN vlan and try b load again to see if there is any other error. after fixing all error, b save should work.

Thanks for your update. Can you tell me how can i remove bigip_config, bigip_base_config,bigip_local.conf, bigip_sys_config as those files are showing previous configuration when I am rebooting the system ,its taking previous hostname and password and configuration after providing < b save all > and b load

Is there any way to remove those configuration file and if we delete those file ,is there any problem .

For your information, I have created hardware fail-over between two unit and try to synchronize unit-2 from unit-1 but its failed to synchronize ,So after that

its showing message through web access "The configuration has not yet loaded. If this message persists, it may indicate a configuration problem."

Please help me to solve the problem .One Unit is working fine but other unit is not taking b import default ,b save all and load.
