How to modify iRule "Data Goup List" from System

I see that iRules disables TCL language for communicating to the system.   However, I want to communicate between a system application and iRules evaluation rule.   How can I do this?     ...

There are plenty of customers that use iControl to affect the load balancing algorithms, I'd suggest browsing the iControl forum and perhaps the CodeShare for ideas.
