How to import .cer file on F5 Big IP
Hi Everyone, Generally, based on the title you already know my question.
Due to an issue between Big IP and Server, we come up with a solution to let the server create the certificate then let it be certify by CA (local) and give it to F5 Big IP. My question is, the file from CA is .cer, and how can I import it with Big IP? I mean, what is the type that I will select? Does the key included with this? Or do I need to convert this first before importing it with F5 so that I can use it with a .key?
Thank you for your help.

A .cer file is usually just a certificate. If you look inside the file with a text editor you'll probably see this:
----- BEGIN CERTIFICATE ----- ... a bunch of base64-encoded certificate data ... ----- END CERTIFICATE -----A private key will (usually) look like this:
----- BEGIN PRIVATE KEY ----- ... a bunch of base64-encoded private key data ... ----- END PRIVATE KEY -----If you just see the certificate data, then you'd import that to the BIG-IP as a certificate.
