How to automatically reclaim active status in a HA pair.

Hi;

If I have an active/passive BIG-IP pair in HA, and BIG-IP1 was active while BIG-IP2 was on stand-by, then upon failover, BIG-IP2 became active due to an issue with BIG-IP1.

After fixing the issue with BIG-IP1, BIG-IP2 stayed active while BIG-IP1 became the stand-by member.

Is there a way for BIG-IP1 to automatically reclaim its active state after having been fixed.

Kindly Wasfi

    Wasfi check the Traffic Group settings and I think the feature you're after is "Auto-Failback". i.e. this setting enables a device to be the active device if both devices are available.

    This is v11's version of Redundancy State Preference in v10.

    Hope this helps,

  • How do I do that. Tried pressing the up arrow and was told that I don't have enough points to up vote.
