"Host" in Monitor
Hi All,
I would like to know what is the advantage of using host: in the monitor. Will that change the way of monitoring it was doing without a host name? Please provide some info on this.
Thanks, Sekhar

I am guessing you are talking about HTTP monitor that has the Host header. Sometimes servers can run multiple websites and using specific host headers can monitor specific sites.
Example: 3 sites, same health page (/health.html) on the same server.
domain.com/health.html domain-1.com/health.html domain-2.com/health.html - IheartF5_45022

A client MUST send a Host header field in all HTTP/1.1 request messages..
Even when no vHost configured as Odaah describes above, a server should reject the request if it doesn't have a Host header.

In fact, as lheartF5 said, it is a must in HTTP/1.1
It wasn't the case for HTTP/1.0 version...
